Product Overview

 

This series of equipment utilizes large-scale FPGA design and inverse multiplexing technology to bundle multiple E1 circuits for transmitting 4 channels of 100BASE-TX Ethernet data. It enables bidirectional conversion between 1 to 8 E1 channels and optical Ethernet interfaces. The device transmits signals from the E1 channels point-to-point to the optical Ethernet interface, achieving interconnection between E1 channels and the optical Ethernet port.

 

Unlike conventional remote network bridges, this device supports flexible configuration of 1 to 8 E1 channels. It automatically detects the number of available E1 links and can tolerate a certain transmission delay difference between the individual E1 circuits. The single-line rate is 1984 Kbit/s, with a maximum aggregate bandwidth of 15872 Kbit/s using 8 E1s.

 

The device provides: 8 E1 interfaces (75-ohm), 4 10/100M Ethernet interfaces, 1 orderwire port (optional), 1 expansion port (optional), and 1 Console port (optional).

9.  Configurable CRC alarm threshold to automatically isolate poorly performing E1 links. Isolation is unidirectional – if the BER exceeds the threshold in one direction of an E1 branch, only that direction is cut off, leaving the opposite direction unaffected. This allows for asymmetric Ethernet transmission paths.

10. Tolerates up to 100ms transmission delay difference among the 8 E1s. The system can automatically cease data transmission on E1 links where the delay exceeds the permissible range.

11. E1 interfaces comply with ITU-T G.703, G.704, and G.823 standards. Signalling timeslots are not supported.

12. E1 interface modules include built-in clock recovery and HDB3 codec circuits.

13. Supports hot-plugging of E1 channels during operation. The device automatically detects valid E1 channels without interrupting ongoing data transmission.

14. Supports flexible configuration for 1 to 8 E1 links. Upon reset, it automatically detects the number of E1s, measures delays, and selects available E1s for use.
