China Unicom Branch – Government and Enterprise Private Line Project

Project Background

China Unicom is one of the four major telecom operators in China, primarily providing mobile network services, data bandwidth services, and government/enterprise private line services.

At the end of 2025, a branch of China Unicom was providing a 10G data private line service to an enterprise. However, the fiber optic link loss was too high, making it impossible to guarantee the optical signal transmission. Moreover, no spare fiber cores were available. The branch consulted our company through an intermediary integrator.

Business Challenges

1. The distance between China Unicom's data center and the enterprise's data room is only 73 km, but the link loss reaches 35 dB.

2. Existing 10G optical modules on the market cannot meet the transmission requirement.

3. Neither data room has rack space to add new equipment.
